Responsibilities As a Product Analyst you will need to:
Become the product functional expert with an in depth understanding of the product features and capabilities.
Take ownership of the Product Backlog and ensure that all features requests and changes are accurately captured and tracked.
Analyze the stated user requirements in greater detail and identify the real need or problem being faced that may not be apparent.
Work closely with the product leadership team on identifying backlog items that need to be prioritized for product development.
Work closely with the Product Engineering team when building innovative features that require extensive technology research and represent the voice of the user.
Effectively document the functional requirements and carry out the knowledge transfer to the Product Engineering teams
Document the Product roadmap and articulate the same to internal and external stake holders.
Understand the business users context and challenges by working closely with a few marquee customers and internal customer facing teams.
Backup innovative ideas and instincts by gathering factual data and user feedback using surveys and questionnaires.
Drive the product beta testing program for new and innovative features and gather end user feedback.
Analyze competitive products and articulate the feature-level comparisons with descriptive documentation.
Keep in touch with relevant technology trends and carry out internet research as and when required to understand the end user context.
Conduct Product training, webinars and demos whenever required.
Ensure consistent growth in the product awareness within the organization.
You should have:
A technical degree (Engineering, MCA) or business degree (MBA, BBA) from a reputed institute with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the software industry.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to demonstrate product concepts via visual representations
Experience working in a software product organization as a business analyst or functional expert in the product team
It would be nice if you have:
Awareness and exposure to User Experience design practices.
An experience in information security procedures and practices
Technical background in software either from software development or systems perspective.
