The Presales Solutions Architect (SA) envisions, strategizies and defines overall solution architecture for the NextGen O/BSS Offerings, to solve customer challenges in O/BSS domain. The position works closely with sales, account managers, pre-sales, and delivery teams to develop proposals that include requirements, resources, schedules, and pricing. The emphasis is on supporting the winning of new business and strengthening existing business relationships.
The selected candidate will have excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills and be able to build relationships with senior level decision makers (CIO, VP, and director). In addition, the candidate will have proven sales experience in both managed and advisory services.
The SA role requires a broad technology background in O/BSS applications and one or more emerging technologies such as Cloud Based System Integration, Software Defined Network (SDN), Master Data Management (MDM), Big Data, BI & Analytics, Digital Services. Specifically the candidate must have strong knowledge of telecom vertical from previous working experience at O/BSS product vendor or System Integrator. Previous experience in managing an application or hands-on enterprise architecture preferred.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Envison and define Next Generation O/BSS offerings and related solutions architecture
Define internal and external sales presentations for the NextGeneration Offerings
Play an advisory role to clients in O/BSS domain by providing business & technology consultancy including problem definition, discovery, solution blueprint, product/technology evaluation; driving feasibility PoC, solution recommendation & architecture definition
Evangelize the usage of existing reusable frameworks and artifacts to further extend the NextGen Offerings
For client engagements, define, design and document the end to end solution architecture of a IT business solution, ensuring the solution is aligned to client product road maps and defined enterprise architecture standards.
Participate in RFI and RFP response preparation from technical / architecture perspective; drive estimations and collate
Build an understanding of the customer's business, industry, and initiatives
Understand technology trends, products, and services and how they solve business challenges
Support marketing initiatives by creating and delivering presentations, workshops, and briefs
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum of 5 years in broad technology background across O/BSS applications, and enterprise architecture teams
Minimum 1 year of experience in one or more emerging technologies such as Cloud Based System Integration, Software Defined Network (SDN), Master Data Management (MDM), Big Data, BI & Analytics, Digital Services
Experience in defining eco-system solutions, modeling costs, and developing ROI and TCO analysis
Sales or presales experience
Excellent relationship building skills across customers, partners, and internal resources

Strong written and verbal communication skills
