Adapt and apply Urban Network & Telecom Engineering rules (N&T PDI) to Urban projects from a backbone perspective
Execute preliminary design studies in line with contractual requirements, with the support of N&T Design leader
Produce all relevant Design documents as per project Documentation plan (refer to DML Documentation Master List) in line with project DFQ Gate Reviews milestones and under the authority of N&T DCS Design Leader.
Design specific backbone functionalities (gaps) in relation with Design Authority experts
Participate to backbone network architecture design activities
Participate to backbone network configuration files activities (including also radio configuration settings) (data preparation)
Contribute to project addressing plan elaboration with Project system team
Define equipments parameters
Open and follow/work at technical Change Requests with UEVOL system and/or N&T PDI teams
Develop and ELICIT Product requirements in line with project needs (external & internal)
Perform Detailed Design :
Prepare technical rooms (Switching Equipments Rooms-SER) surveys
Develop Installation principles based on project PBS
Develop Maintenance guidelines/procedures
Establish and participate to Verification and Validation strategy
Participate to Installation studies
Participate upon request, to Installation & T&C activities
Provide Return of Experience (REX) to N&T PDI and to N&T ENGG
Technical support during DCS warranty period
We seek for a profile that is Telecom R&D oriented (Radio or Backbone) but who shall be also capable to evolve in operational environments such as project environments.
The mission is a mix of BOTH R&D and Operations as it interacts with new technologies introduced into railways signaling solutions (IP mobility).
We would certainly appreciate a candidate who would have already participated to new IT technology introduction in a massive project deployment at engineering level.
