The Product Strategies recommended must deliver KPIs for the brand as defined by the Business Plan as well as enhance Brand equity by maximizing identified market specific opportunities and creating and identifying new product opportunities on the basis of emerging trends and needs.
To lead and manage the process of Product Creation and Product development based on the accepted and clearly defined annual and seasonal product Strategy .
TREND ANALYSIS AND FORECASTING:
Accurately forecasts key consumer and there buying trends on the basis of analyzed data and information.
Identify key consumer trends based on available data (historical sales, inventory, market research etc,) as well observation and visits to relevant markets and consumer feedback. *
Track International trends online, through journals, and visits to relevant apparel fairs and foreign markets. *
Track competition offering in terms of product and Pricing.
PRODUCT LINE PLANNING:
Identify key market opportunities based on already existing consumer need as well as continuously explore and identify new product opportunities on the basis of emerging trends. *
Recommend product strategies to support strategic business objectives as defined in the strategic & operating plans on the basis of Trends forecasted. *
Define specific category wise products plans as well as plan the Product mix for various consumer segments on the basis product strategy adopted. *
Develop a detailed Product Development brief every season that captures key trends in terms of Design/ Sell-through/ 4 cs and availability of stocks on the basis of key trends observed as per business plan and category strategy. *
Manage the process of product development that accurately and systematically translates specific design requirements on the basis of a clearly articulated Product strategy and Product Development Brief into product propositions that deliver the KPIS for the Brand as defined by the AOP(annual op plan) Units//First Quality/Close Outs/Product Mix/SKU productivity and Adoption rate. *
Establish and leverage a network of Key contacts with idea leaders in other Product development centers and represent the affiliate at relevant divisional product meetings in order to adopt and adapt relevant products as well leverage in terms of Design/ Sell-through/ 4 cs and availability of stocks
Constantly update the Core line to ensure newness as also a clearly visible competitive advantage. *
Manage the process of Prototype and final Sample development across categories. *
Manage the process of delivering manufacturing ready product that consistently documents and communicates clearly defined manufacturing requirements . *
Provide expertise to manufacturing regarding the parameters required for product quality. *
Approve Pre Production Samples for each concept.
Lead and manage an effective and efficient Product development process in line with design direction.*
Develops the Local product and price architecture aligned with the Global brand and product architecture.*
Creates final range width and depth buy plan by store grade.*
Keep in touch with latest technological developments in relevant fields.*
Lead the process of both strategic as well as technological innovation across categories to maintain a competitive advantage in order to maximize Brand sales as well as enhance Brand equity. *
Lead and encourage the exploration of creative and non-traditional ideas from team members both in terms of product propositions as well as problem solving technical and workflow problems in production. *
