SENIOR MARINE SYSTEM ENGINEER
Masters degree in Marine (System) Engineering (or bachelors degree with sufficient proven experience).
Minimum 8 years of experience in marine system designs and analyses.
A Marine Systems Engineer with a pro-active attitude and problem solving capabilities.
Knowledge of marine systems required for oil tankers and aware of specific FPSO related issues.
Motivated to work independently, design (and analyse) yourself however you are capable of leading a small team of engineers and draftsman when required.
Knowledge of relevant international design codes and class regulations.
Good communication skills and good understanding of the English language, verbally as well as in writing.
As a Senior Marine Systems Engineer responsible for the delivery of engineering work scope in line with the project s technical specification, budget and planning.
Depending on the workload you will perform calculations yourself or lead a team of up to five engineers and designers including supervision of subcontractors.
Reporting to the Lead or Project Engineer on progress, setbacks and concerns and signal technical risks and anomalies in projects to your Section Head.
To perform a number of different tasks. Performing studies and concept designs, creating equipment specifications, basis of designs, scope of works and hour estimates.
Contact with vendors for quotations, evaluations and engineering reviews.
Creating and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, arrangements, equipment lists and workpacks.
Performing analyses on heat balances, pipe sizing, power requirements, cooling water requirements etc.
Assisting in obtaining client and third party approval on the project.
Respond to queries from the project team and from yard site team on time.
If necessary you perform activities abroad, on site or with a client.
Contract Duration: Minimum 1 year and may extend further.
