1 Project co ordination:
Develop tracking methodology for project management.
Ensure all relevant datas are available as required (Sourcing strategy, cost, awarding status, supplier location etc.)
Derivation of strategies for the respective commodity resp. approaches e.g. to achieve cost savings, to define identical / similar parts and achieve decisions.
On the occasion of supplier visits (in co-operation with R&D, supplier management, cost planning -comparative evaluation of innovative ability, manufacturing technology, process and product quality as well as security of supply of vendors.
2 Supplier enquiry and supplier selection :
Prepare selection of capable vendors. Execution of RfQs based on technical specifications. Comparison and evaluation of quotations in consideration of the local procurement strategy.
Proposal of development partners and suppliers in consideration of cost, quality, supply and innovation. Utilization of supplier development potentials. In this context reconcilement with the decision makers in development, engineering and manufacturing.
3 Participation in Product Projects:
Participate in cross functional module teams to work on product design, cost optimization and target cost achievement. In this context securing of compliance with deadlines and implementation of commodity strategy and supplier strategy.
Evaluation of concepts and sourcing strategies (e.g. volume bundling, single sourcing, part family creation, long-term agreements) for the respective commodity in order to secure target costs, partially combined with affected departments.
Generating of complexity reduction ideas in co-operation with suppliers.
4 Contract negotiations and midyear optimization- documentation and archiving of results
Prepare and execute price negotiations
Document agreements in contract templates and prices in IT systems, archive relevant awarding documents in document management system
Propose initiatives to achieve targets
Bachelor in Engineering discipline. Preferably additional qualification in Business Administration
o Professional Experience
Market know-how, experience of work in productive procurement related areas in several functions, experience in cross-functional project work and project management.
o Specific Knowledge
Business-fluency in English. Negotiating skills, product knowledge of commercial vehicles, knowledge of purchasing
processes, knowledge about product development process, moderation and presentation skills, IT knowledge and expertisation in MS Office
