Manages and leads Implementation planning, negotiation and buying across all channels.
Works with the IP&I Director to develop the very best implementation recommendation.
Is responsible for the media plan from the communications planning through to execution. Fine tuning budget allocation, weights, phasing, and title/channel/site mix with creation of the media plan.
Works with the Online or Offline Manager to create integrated Media recommendation and media briefs.
Supports (GD or Director) on all client contract negotiations.
Ability to understand the negotiation process and ability to drive results for their clients.
The IP&I manager is accountable for the implementation of all buying strategies and oversees the buying product across all media channels, ensuring that the core principles of the buying process are being applied.
Proactively communicates market trends, developments or any changes that will impact any buying performance to the client.
Ensures the GSIP guidelines / standards are adhered to in all implementation recommendations, in conjunction with the IP&I Director.
Competent use & knowledge of all Implementation tools (Comms Tracker, Frequency Calculator, MRO, Media Multiplier, Matrix, Roy Morgan, Adex, Move, SMI, Pinergy (where applicable)
Assists the IP&I Director to collaboratively work with CCP, Strategy, MBA, I&T, Culture and Insight teams to develop media solutions and develop initiatives to deliver the best work.
Assist the IP&I Director in identifying commercial opportunities with the ability to sell in media initiatives over and above media recommendations.
Supports the IP&I Director in leading the development of regular reporting reviews across their portfolio.
Quarterly Buying Reviews, Market updates and merchandising Mediacom performance across all their clients business
Ability to lead key client relationships from an Implementation planning and Investment perspective, ensuring that client servicing is first class.
Ability to influence key decision makers, across both client and media
Active role in briefing media vendors in conjunction with the IP&I Director, establishing key relationships with the appropriate level of seniority.
Assists in the delivery and monitoring of contract share / expenditure across their portfolio on a monthly basis.
Ensure the team have clear financial processes in place and assists the Senior Executive or Executive in ensuring these are implemented, with overall accountability for the team financials.
Leads team WIPs and supports workflow and resource allocation within their team, manages issues effectively and reports issues or concerns to the IP&I Director/ GD
Responsible for the training and development of all Senior Executives & Executives.
Ensuring Assistants are being trained and managed appropriately
Completion of Annual PDP's in conjunction with the IP&I Director.
Regular performance meetings across the year to ensure standards and talent development for junior staff.
100% supportive of the IP&I Director, GD and Heads of department.
Knowledge and skills:
Competent Implementation skills with the ability to translate a channel recommendation into a Media Recommendation / Plan
Understanding of all media channels, with the ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each channel and the impact these have in delivering on the client objectives
High level of media buying/negotiation skills.
Excellent knowledge of the media marketplace with the use of tools such as Matrix and SMI to demonstrate understanding.
An appetite and aptitude for analysis that helps to truly understand the market. An ability to analyze trends and data to create negotiation platforms.
