Job Description

Position: Head - Retail Sales

Location: Chennai/Bangalore

Job Category: Individual Contributor

Reporting to: Board of Directors of the Company

Job Responsibility

* Starting up and establishing retail sales for company's offerings through Channel

* Building a network of Channel Partners including online channel partners

* Managing channel partner relationships

* Building systems to manage sales of channel partners and establish guidelines/norms for MRP, discount structure, margins, inventory, lead times, credit etc...

* Develop and deploy policies governing all aspects of retail sales for the Channel Partners including selection of channel partners

* Develop and deploy effective Channel Incentive Schemes to grow business and channel loyalty

* Achieving sales targets set by the company for Retail

* Business development & creation of new demand for the channel to sustain profitable growth of the retail business

* Developing new offerings for the Retail including bundling and Retail Packaging

* Working with supply partners (Vendors) in managing the supply chain including inventory and working capital deployed

* Be the adviser to the Directors as a specialist in Retail

* Develop and deploy systems to train Sales-force of the Channel

* Plan and create the eco system to install and commission the Retail Products of the company -- should include Do It Yourself, Installation by General Electricians, Installation by Channel Partners' staff etc...

* Manage the database of the Retail customers for future opportunity of related offerings, AMC and other service offerings

* Effectively leverage the internal technical teams for supporting the channel

* Business Management Systems to report and review the business with the Board of Directors

Qualification & Requirements

* Management Graduate

* 15 years of experience in sales

* Consumer Sales (B2B & B2C) essential

* Channel Sales essential

* Starting up of retail business would be an advantage

* High level of initiative and working independently

* Self-starter and self-motivated

* Strong business acumen

* Action orientation

* Good relationship and networking skills

* Good communication skills -- both verbal and written

* Intellectual Horse Power
