The Global Industry Research Specialist will be a core member of the global industry support team enjoying direct and frequent contact with the other global industry team members around the globe.
Secondary research/desk research with possible elements of Primary Research (connecting and interacting with industry experts).
Proficiency in using external research sources, e.g. One Source, Hoovers, Factiva, Lexis-Nexis, Bloomberg, etc.
Develop specific Industry knowledge which will help in compiling research reports on specific Industry related topics.
Working on key/Global Industry sectors for Willis like Aerospace, Marine, Financial Institutions, Natural Resources, Construction, TMT, etc.
Stakeholder Interaction: The role involves working with the Global Industry Leaders and their teams, and performing the following duties:
- Develop and maintain strong, ongoing, productive working relationship with stakeholders for the provision of research support services.
- Participate in regular telephonic discussions, meetings and email communications to understand and interpret complex research requirements to deliver products and services ensuring stakeholder satisfaction
Preparing Prospect Databases, Industry Reports and Business Strategic Tools based on Insights and performing competitive analysis, etc.
Reviewing data and preparing business models to forecast trends is also a key responsibility. Based on the outcome, the core task is to prepare a report with recommendations
Ability to comprehend, decode and cull-out essential information from varied data sources and generate crisp, insightful and relevant reports for stakeholders.
Strategic acumen to overlay the implications of research findings on our business, e.g. how does a change in an industry's risk profile create a potential opportunity for Willis?
Confident communication skills with excellent written, verbal and comprehension in English.

Experience & Qualifications:
Preferable experience of 1-2 years within similar research environment i.e. business or secondary research or a consultative background.
Exposure to secondary research on company or niche sectors like Oil and Gas, Construction, Aerospace, Marine, etc.
Knowledge of Insurance Industry and its dynamics would be added advantage
Graduate in any stream.
Should be comfortable with service agreement of 2 Years in case of UK travel over 4 weeks.
Should be comfortable with flexible day shifts.
