The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and driving complex and high priority projects, component phases of larger programs or small programs.
This person will lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, and cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project.
As a Senior Project Manager you may manage multiple projects concurrently.
Interfaces with internal organizations in a manner that promotes a positive and cooperative approach for achieving business objectives.
Supports Technology, Operations, and/or Business initiatives.
Consults with management and reviews project proposals to establish goals, timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
Primary contact with the Project Sponsor to define, manage, and negotiate changes to project schedule and cost for their assigned project/program.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree OR equivalent experience.
6+ years of progressive project management experience in managing major projects and small programs, in a large operating environment.
Global experience or equivalent domestic complexity a plus.
Proven success at driving consensus across multiple stakeholder.
Demonstrates an understanding of urgency when dealing with issues/risks on projects/programs.
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Excellent facilitation skills Exceptional active listening skills.
3-5 years of experience in a Technology, Operations, or Business organization.
PMP Certification preferred.
PMI or other professional PM association membership a plus.
The Senior Project Manager for Real Estate Development (SPM) will report to the Director of Real Estate Development and will be responsible for implementing a range of projects from pre-development through construction and permanent financing conversion.
Organizational and communication skills are foundational to the responsibilities of the position, including:
Developing and tracking project budgets before and during construction;
Coordinating, securing, and requisitioning project capital and operating funding sources;
Communicating with internal and external development team members
Coordinating various pre-development activities (i.e. community outreach and notification, tenant relocation, land use approvals, commercial tenant identification, etc);
Reviewing and negotiating project legal and contract documents;
The successful applicant will be a strategic thinker, with a strong degree of initiative and the capacity to develop and implement critical project milestones. The candidate must be highly organized, with the ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities and maintain an attention to detail. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are requisite. The candidate must be able to work effectively within a collaborative team approach.
