Responsible for all technical decision making in the areas of hydrology and geospatial needs.
He/ she should have a good understanding on hydrological/hydraulic models well and the development of large geospatial data layers.
Expected to have good understanding and exposure on digital interpretation techniques and remote sensing and can able to guide the research initiatives in remote sensing domain.
He/ she should have good problem-solving and communication abilities and like to work in a project oriented environment.
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to learn fast.
Will be expected to make a valuable contribution within team and the business overall.
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
Responsible for understanding, analyzing& developing hydrological & geospatial data layers for the flood model development and maintaining excellent communication channels across the offices
Responsible for research driven process enhancement initiatives in the area of remote sensing
Involve in applying geospatial, remote sensing and other supportive domain knowledge in deriving additional data sources for cat model development
Strong working knowledge of Hydrologic, ERDAS Imagine, ENVI and ESRI GIS software products.
Hands on experience in remote sensing and numerical techniques
Knowledge in VB.Net, C#, C++ etc. will be a added advantage
Strong analytical problem solving ability
Excellent written and oral communication
Basic knowledge/understanding in developing geospatial data and data components for catastrophe risk insurance industry
