BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT
The person in this role will be one of the leads in designing, implementing, testing, and deploying of business intelligence solutions to meet sales and marketing business process requirements using Business Objects and Oracle.
The candidate is also expected to:
Manage the Datawarehouse Life Cycle for large scale sales and marketing data warehouses and reporting data marts.
Manage the day to day delivery process across 1-2 client engagements helping to deliver world-class business and technology solutions.
Provide leadership in logical/physical data modeling and solution design.
Use best practices to design the datawarehouse (star schema), test plans, ETL, reports.
Guide project teams in implementing solution design.
Set standards for application performance, operations, programming and security.
Guide project teams in applying business rules and systems design.
Develop and maintain data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries, data element naming standards and data dictionary metadata standards.
Travel to US (as needed) to work with client and provide technology expertise to other ZS teams
In addition, this person will help lead a firm-wide initiative in improving ZS' IT capability for clients
Contribute to ZS IT capability building knowledge creation.
Coach, mentor, and conduct training programs in data modeling, data warehousing, and other IT topics.
Play active role in developing and growing the practice.
7-10 years of hands on IT consulting work experience primarily focused on designing ETL and reporting modules, developing and deploying large scale data marts, data warehouses and reporting solutions
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field from a top university is preferred.
Significant design and implementation experience in Business Objects and Oracle. Experience with Informatica is a plus.
Experience with the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.
Experience in architectural design, dimensional modeling (Star schema), ETL and data migration.
Significant experience with performance tuning and optimization of applications.
Experience with and knowledge of Master Data Management.
Knowledge of current data modeling, and data warehouse concepts, issues, practices, methodologies, and trends.
Significant experience with analyzing and troubleshooting the interaction between databases, operating systems, and applications.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form.
Help with the selling process including writing proposals and giving product demos.
Significant supervisory, coaching and hands-on project management skills.
Ability to work within a virtual (off-shore) team environment and contribute to the overall timely delivery of multiple projects.
Prior experience in sales and marketing and SAS would be a plus.
