Job Description

Business Intelligence Specialist activities include Planning, designing, and developing both data layers and reporting in an enterprise environment with strong people/project management experience. As a Business Intelligence Coordinator/Specialist, you will:

* Plan, design, and develop data layers and reports using Business Intelligence software
* Manage a team of administrators and BI projects
* Data mining and reporting from enterprise applications/data;
* Monitor and manage existing Business Intelligence development/production systems;
* Provide on-call support for Business Intelligence issues;
* Team projects as assigned.
Qualifications: Successful Business Intelligence Coordinator/Specialist possesses the following characteristics:
* Minimum BE with record of high academic achievement
* Certified in Business Intelligence Applications
* 6 to 8 years of Business Intelligence design, development, people/project management and support experience
* Experience in a professional services firm/environment a plus
* Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
* Ability to manage a team of BI administrators operating in a 24*5 support environment
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Strong customer service skills

Technical expectations include proficiencies in the following:
* Expertise in MicroStrategy 9.x Administration
* Expertise in Microstrategy user management, code migration
* Expertise in Microstrategy mobile administration, server monitoring
* Knows best practices to be followed to maintain the high standard for all environments
* Qlikview and ETL tool experience is a plus
* Expertise in Business Intelligence Security models
* Experience in Informatica Power Center 8.5 is a plus
* Data mining and reporting capabilities from enterprise applications/data
* General database and data warehousing best practices
* Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, Unix, Java, XML, .NET, SQL, and Oracle
* Test, implement, and support applications/reports
* Knowledge of the support cycle, handling tickets as per the priority queue
* Ready to operate in shifts
