Role Description: Business Development SMART CITY (Government Vertical)
Responsible for working with Different teams for Vertical / Domain Specific Long Term Market Development
Help in creation of New Business opportunities related to SMART CITY initiative of Government of India
Understand the Market Requirement / Guidelines of Government of India and its institution and help translate the products and services and expertise into addressable market offerings tuned to Government push in SMART City. Push for higher value/value added services and solutions to the Vertical customer in line with offerings.
Make client and opportunity specific engagement strategies along with LOB teams in for SMART City Offerings and services
Seed the SMART City related expertise and offerings into consulting and implementation engagements. Help in developing the initial value proposition specific to SMART City engagements as well as part of overall solution framework.
Lead discussions with potential customers / Policy Influencers / Experts / City developers and OEMS. Lead discussions from vertical with LOB and pre-sales to develop vertical solution / proposition
Help in development of SMART CITY related ecosystems and solutions
Keep track of market development and guidelines. Be a part of Government Industry to understand trends.
Showcase solutions as a strategic fit for the customer organization through workshops, boot camps and strategy meets. Instrumental in bringing thought leadership in conferences, meets and seminars, and meeting with key customers.
Preferred Qualification / Experience:
An accomplished academic record with 15-20 years of extensive relevant work experience in IT / non IT firms. Exposure to EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) Industry and SMART CITY solutions around the following would be added advantage
Intelligent Traffic Management Solution
Intelligent Parking and Waste Disposal System
Building Management, City Communication System
City Surveillance and SMART Policing etc.
Excellent Networking skills with market connects in Government Agencies / Ministry and Solution Providers
Knowledge and skills:
Having an overall understanding of the SMART City Solutions and Framework. Exposure to government ministries, agencies and city planners
Exposure to EPC projects and process. Should have either implementation, consulting or sales experience in related products and solutions
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Superior presentation, communication and networking skills.
Should be a team player
Having knowledge of both industry and technology trends in the domain
Should have the ability to conceptualize solutions for customers and make customer pitch for selling Wipro Solutions
