Job Description

The Opportunity:

Company is looking for a Communications Professional to become an integral member of our Human Resources leadership team. This individual will work closely with the Head of HR on the design, delivery and ongoing development of both internal and external communications that support the company. This includes, but is not limited to, Intranet content, Internet content, internal and external Communications, Press Releases and Media Bulletins. This position will work closely with the Global Corporate Communications team and will be involved in various projects supporting the business needs, including employee communications and internal policy development.

Primary responsibilities include:

* Co-manage outside agencies and vendors to ensure the production of creative, high-quality, cost-effective communication solutions (e.g., Mailers, Posters, Banners, Policy briefs, press releases, media statements, and presentations)
* Maintain relationships with reporters and media agencies, proactively identify media opportunities, and organize public relations events
* Support the execution of long-term strategic communication plans (covering external needs, internal partnerships, and executive support)
* Provide communication support to departments and functional areas, and partner with operations team to align employee communications and messaging to corporate strategy and objectives
* Provide writing and messaging support to the senior leadership across the company
* Provide support for the company's online presence (including web sites, social media, etc.)

Preferred skills, education, and experience:

* Masters in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field of study
* 6-8 years experience as a communications or public relations professional in a corporate or agency setting
* Media training and crisis communication experience
* Superb writing skills, including the ability to craft powerful, engaging, and broadly accessible messages
* Strong project management skills
* Online, social media expertise, and familiarity with web design and editing tools, especially SharePoint
* Deep familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
* Brand Management experience
* Vendor and relationship management
