Design, develop and provide jigs, fixtures, tooling and dies to manufacture jobs.
Develop and implement the new productive processes and methods of doing jobs.
Meet routine shop requirements of the tooling, jigs, fixtures and the dies.
Role & Responsibilities: Key Result Areas
Study all the manufacturing drawings meticulously, plan and providing tooling to shops on or before time.
Prepare method statements in a team of engineers of shops, QAC, welding, safety, planning and maintenance functions as applicable for of all the jobs to be manufactured.
Prepare process and material flow diagram and implement with help of shop.
Develop, conduct extensive trials and implement the new productive processes and methods of doing jobs to reduce through put time and improve quality.
Study and initiate actions and complete improvement projects on cost reduction in the areas of tooling, rework, and materials.
Improve capability of the critical machines.
Ensure documentation as per ISO systems.
Provide technical support to maintenance and other service functions.Qualification: BE Mechanical/Production/Diploma in Tool & Die Making
Experience Required: 7-10 years for BE/10-14 years in case of Diploma
