2. Etiquette: A resume is your formal document that you send out for a job opportunity. It needs to be crisp & professionally drafted. Meanwhile, the language used on LinkedIn could be informal. You can draft your LinkedIn Profile in first-person and keep the communication two-way. A natural and conversational tone is recommended for your career summary section.
3. Purpose: Typically you send out your resume when you spot a job or to a recruiter for opportunities they might have for you. Your LinkedIn Profile is available online all the time – making you searchable to anyone on the platform, irrespective of whether they have a job for you or not. Your LinkedIn Profile is your information guarantor of your resume. It backs the details included in your resume rather than mirroring the exact text.
